Initial Thoughts - Yesterday’s meeting went very well. We had a great turnout and I felt that we were well prepared for the meeting. I also enjoyed it because we had 2 new staff attend the committee meeting.

Attendance (15): Great Turnout. There were 6 representatives from Web & Multimedia Services including two new hires, 3 from the School of Law, 2 from Public Policy, 1 from GSEP, 1 from Advancement, 1 from University Libraries, 0 from Seaver, and 1 from GSBM.

Agenda/Topics:

- Video @ Pepperdine (Matt/Ed)
- Search Engine Optimization
- Collaboration Space/Group Use
- Department/School Updates (All)

My process/reflections: Another positive meeting. We posted the agendas prior to the session and had another strong turnout. As I mentioned, we introduced a few new faces to the group. Although the new attendees were “quiet” during the session, I was glad that that they were present for the lively discussion at the table. I’m hoping to find a way for the new attendees to lead the discussion in a few areas during one of the upcoming meetings.

In other news, I was also really happy to see that one of the schools that hadn’t been attending regularly was able to make it to meeting. This invidual attendance was noted publicly by several of the “veterans” in the group. I’m looking forward to see if the pressure from the group influences this individual’s attendance.
