Initial Thoughts - This week’s meeting was great as we had another large turnout. Although we haven’t met face to face in awhile, the group was quite collegial. I was a bit worried about the number of folks who would attend since the last meeting was cancelled because of the PeopleSoft conference, but I was pleasantly surprised! The collaboration space is proving to be a nice knowledge management tool for the group. We posted the agenda within the online group and sent a brief reminder email about the meeting. Interestingly, there were a number of references during the meeting to the collaboration space. Several committee members mentioned the how they would post specific information within the group! Great news!
Attendance (17): We had another solid turnout. There were 8 representatives from Web & Multimedia Services, 4 from the School of Law, 2 from Public Policy, 0 from GSEP, 1 from Advancement, 1 from University Libraries, 1 from Seaver, and 0 from GSBM.
Agenda/Topics:
- Recap of PeopleSoft Conference (Ed/Matt)
- Presentation of Survey Monkey tool (N. Stryker)
- CMS discussion of BB & Xythos (Matt/Ed)
- Search Engine Optimization (All)
- Digital Measures (Matt/Ed)
- Discussionof School/Department issues and initiatives (all)
My process/reflections: I’m seeing a noticeable improvement in communication and collaboration among the committee members. It is really great to see! The group is sharing ideas and offering support to one another’s initiatives. I am beginning to feel that the additional communication/planning is paying off as the group appears be forming tighter bonds. We’re still lacking involvement from one key group on campus. I am a bit disappointed that this group hasn’t shown an interest in attending. During the meeting today, a few of the other members noted their lack of attendance. I’m going to need try a different approach…
In other news, I’m planning to host a luncheon with a few members after the next meeting. This will provide an opportunity to gather some additional feedback on my actions in cycle 2. The data collected during this discussion will help me plan cycle 3.

Hi M,
Nice to see that things are going well. You appear to be really thinking about how to best facilitate the group process. Hopefully the courses and reading this semester will help you with some different ideas to experiment with.
